Design steel structures and concrete foundations using CAD for energy projects

Key Responsibilities

Tasks

-Collaborating with mechanical and electrical designers to resolve clashes within the 3D model, optimizing the overall design. Travel to client facilities with experienced project team members may be necessary to verify on-site physical design conditions. -Supporting senior designers by producing structural drawings that are completed on-time and within budget, while maintaining quality, consistency, and accountability that meets or exceeds customer requirements.

What You Bring

-Awareness of American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) manual for steel design -Attention to detail -CAD certificate required if non-degreed -FSA & HSA -Associate Degree in Computer Aided Design Technology preferred -Time management -Awareness of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) -Proficiency in at least one major CAD software (i.e. AutoCAD or MicroStation). -Previous relevant experience considered -A minimum of 6 years of experience in structural design. -Awareness of American Concrete Institute (ACI) for foundation design -Autodesk Navisworks
