Entry-level engineer performing structural analysis and design for energy facilities.

Tasks
-Develop and utilize programing and scripting languages including Python. -Review work by technicians, drafters, and others assisting the project team. -Perform dropped object, ship collision, and projectile impact studies. -Prepare engineering calculations using software such as MATLAB and Mathcad. -Assist with research and development efforts for LNG plants and offshore wind structures. -Perform structural, seismic, and soil-structure interaction analyses. -Interface with diverse analysts, designers, licensing engineers, regulators, and risk managers. -Perform blast and fire response analyses. -Prepare and deliver technical presentations. -Provide on-the-job training and mentoring to staff. -Develop design criteria and specifications for various structures, systems, and components. -Maintain direct client contact within context of assigned work. -Contribute to the development and assessment of offshore platforms, chemical plants, and LNG terminals. -Prepare proposals, letters, reports, calculations, drawings, and specifications. -Design new structures and repairs of existing structures. -Metocean analysis of offshore structures and structural integrity management program support. -Conduct field investigations and site walkdowns.

What You Bring
-Ability to work in a team environment. -Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines amongst competing priorities. -Ability to obtain Civil Professional Engineer (P.E.) license within five years. -Knowledge of design, analysis, evaluation, and/or permitting of onshore and offshore structures. -Experience with structural analysis, structural dynamics, and/or structural mechanics. -Knowledge of safety/risk analysis and probabilistic methods is a plus. -Proficiency in at least one advanced analysis software package including ABAQUS, ANSYS, LS-DYNA, or USFOS. -Ability to travel to remote job sites including offshore. -Zero to two (2) years of engineering experience. -Proficiency in at least one structural analysis software package including SAP2000, SACS STAAD-PRO, or RISA. -Master of Science or Doctoral degree in Structural Engineering and Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. -Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with technical staff and clients.
