Overview
Design and oversee fiber optic networks for residential FTTx deployments.

Tasks
-Provide technical support and guidance to field technicians and other team members. -Coordinate with field technicians and contractors to ensure designs are accurately implemented. -Conduct training sessions on FTTx design principles and best practices. -Generate progress reports and project status updates for management and stakeholders. -Conduct site surveys to assess feasibility and gather necessary data for design. -Create detailed network design maps using GIS and CAD software. -Address and resolve any design-related issues that arise during the deployment process. -Maintain accurate records of network designs, modifications, and as-built documentation. -Prepare comprehensive design documentation, including schematics, fiber allocation plans, and bill of materials. -Ensure designs comply with industry standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements. -Conduct quality checks and site inspections to verify the accuracy of installations. -Liaise with local authorities and utility companies to obtain necessary permits and clearances. -Work closely with project managers to develop project timelines and resource requirements. -Design FTTx networks, including fiber routes, distribution, and drop points.

What You Bring
-3+ years of FTTH/x design experience. -Understanding of Utility and Telecommunications planning, design and permitting. -Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in FTTx network design and deployment. -Familiarity with network design software (e.g., OSPInsight , Bentley) -Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to telecommunications and fiber optic networks -Strong communication skills, both written and verbal -Travel may be required to various project locations. -Proficient with the use of computers and software, including MS Office (Word, Teams & Excel) -Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills -3+ years of experience with GIS and AutoCAD. -Office-based with occasional site visits. -Experience with project management tools and methodologies. -Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. -Strong understanding of fiber optic technology and telecommunications infrastructure. -Customer Centricity -Ability to work independently and as part of a team -Certification in FTTx design (e.g., FTTx Council Certified). -Proficiency in GIS and CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, ArcGIS).
