What You Bring

-Comfortable traveling cross-country to perform site visits and provide technical support to construction teams. -Knowledge of electrical design, materials, and methods of construction in power systems. -Ability to review scope of work documents and analyze the design implications of different requirements. -Highly organized and able to multitask multiple projects at once. -Minimum Bachelor’s degree in engineering, technical field, or related discipline is required – an electrical engineering degree is preferred. -Proven ability to work across multiple systems and manage design documentation. -Thorough knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and the National Electrical Safety Code (NESC) as it relates to utility-scale power plants is a plus. -Knowledge and experience using SAM and/or Cymcap to perform detailed thermal analysis and calculate ampacity of power cables under various installation conditions is a plus. -Own portions of the project lifecycle — from design to construction support. -Be familiar with utility-scale solar project designs, including single line drawings, electrical site plans, DC and AC wiring diagrams, and equipment layout. -0-1+ years' experience for a Project Engineer and 2+ years’ experience for Senior Project Engineer in the solar construction industry or direct engineering management on solar construction projects - solar experience is required. -Have direct and relevant experience with the latest solar and battery storage equipment, including solar panels, inverters/transformers, racking systems, and battery systems. -Understand the construction applications of solar power plant design, including PV string sizing, DC and AC conductor and conduit sizing, and racking/tracker design and powering. -Good communication and presentation skills, including the ability to organize and present complex technical information effectively in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
