Tasks

The Finance Systems Team at Arup is a specialised function within the Digital Technology Group (DTG), responsible for supporting, developing, and maintaining the firm’s financial applications and reporting platforms. The team plays a critical role in enabling accurate financial operations, compliance, and strategic decision-making. -Design, develop, test highquality solutions that meet business requirements. -Design, develop, test, and maintain applications using Oracle Forms and Oracle Reports. -Integrating solutions with other applications and technology platforms -Collaborate with the finance team to provide technical support and insights for the ongoing finance strategy project. -Enhance Oracle Forms and Reports, Interfaces and background processes -Write complex PL/SQL queries, procedures, functions, and triggers. -Optimise and troubleshoot existing reports, computations and integrations to improve performance and reliability. -Conduct indepth analysis of our bespoke Oracle application, including its data flows, and integration with other systems. -Maintain comprehensive documentation of applications and processes. -Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical and data issues. -Participate in the migration of legacy Oracle Forms applications to modern platforms if required. -Provide guidance and support to business analysts and stakeholders, ensuring that business requirements are accurately translated into technical solution -Respond to and resolve production issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations and providing timely updates and support to stakeholders. -Participate in code reviews and follow development best practices. -Collaborate with business analysts and users to gather and understand requirements.

What You Bring

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Forms developer to join our Finance Systems team in the Digital Technology Group. You will be responsible for the development, operation and maintenance of our Finance reporting application and interfaces including integrations with other systems and calculations for consolidation, overheads and cross charging. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Oracle Forms, Reports and PL/SQL along with the ability to analyse and understand complex processes and dataflows. -Have solid PL/SQL and SQL skills -Have excellent analytical, problem solving and communication skills. -Can analyse and interpret intricate dataflows -Experience in version control systems (e.g. Git) -Have a strong knowledge and recent handson experience of Oracle Forms & Reports -Have experience working in a finance systems environment delivering complex system solutions
