Tasks

-Monitor supplier performance and capacity to proactively identify and mitigate risks to material supply. -Partner with schedulers and production teams to resolve material shortages and implement corrective actions. -Participate in cross-functional projects to improve procurement planning processes, tools, and KPIs. -Analyze inventory levels and usage trends to identify opportunities for cost savings and improved procurement efficiency. -Support new product introductions, phase-ins/phase-outs, and engineering changes by ensuring timely procurement of required components. -Contribute to make/buy decisions using full-cost models and strategic sourcing input. -Act as a point of contact between planning, production, logistics, and suppliers to prioritize material flow based on changing requirements. -Convert demand into purchase orders to ensure material availability in alignment with production schedules and inventory targets. -Collaborate with supply chain teams to define procurement strategies, including economic order quantities, lead times, and reorder points.

What You Bring

-Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel; experience with MRP tools is a plus. -Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, or a related field and 3+ years of experience in procurement, materials planning, or supply chain in a manufacturing environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. -Strong understanding of procurement planning principles, supplier management, and inventory control. -Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams. -Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
