The Role

Overview

Teach and develop substation fitting training for apprentices and staff.

Tasks

-Maintain training centre facilities and equipment. -Support the maintenance of training products, ensuring compliance with internal quality assurance processes. -Ensure training products meet relevant safety and technical requirements. -Review lesson plans and presentations to ensure sessions are delivered to a high standard. -Completion of accurate course reports and assessments documentation -Ensure training equipment is maintained, calibrated, and tested as necessary. -Conduct safety walks for areas of responsibility. -Health & Safety, Safeguarding responsibilities to learners. -Using experience to help in the design and development of technical and safety training to meet customer requirements. -Assess individuals carrying out practical activities to ensure they meet qualification standards. -Review latest technical and safety bulletins to remain knowledgeable on safety training matters. -Support the team by carrying out observations to identify and implement improvements. -Deliver quality training in classroom and workshop environments. -Work with the Design and Innovation Team to drive improvements and new products. -Interact with technical experts and relevant departments to ensure training is developed to meet necessary standards.

What You Bring

-The following are desirable: -NEBOSH certificate / diploma or equivalent safety qualifications -Extensive relevant experience maintaining Distribution plant and equipment -Excellent communication and time management / planning skills -Good degree of IT skills and be conversant with Microsoft PowerPoint -Experience of managing teams or work activities desirable -Knowledge of Safeguarding, or working with young adults is desirable but training will be given. -Sound understanding of the Distribution Safety Rules and associated Policies -Previous training experience, knowledge of coaching of others would be advantageous.
