The Role

Overview

Support protection engineering, testing, and coordination for grid reliability projects.

Tasks

-Lead testing teams to perform protection testing services for maintenance departments or distribution projects -Study and provide consultation on protection-related matters to support initiatives and projects under planning or engineering or other departments -Study and verify contractor submissions (overall designs, detailed schematics, etc) on protection-related matters to support the planning phase of projects under projects or maintenance departments -Collate and analyze data and incidents related to protection systems -Study, document and maintain protection philosophy including but not limited to protection coordination studies and site setup/design, with up-to-date data and findings -You will contribute to the success of upholding our world-class network reliability and drive sustainability -Conduct training and briefing to in-house or external parties on protection-related matters -Perform standby duty and promptly attend to alarms or incidents related to protection systems -Lead witnessing teams to verify contractor-conducted site acceptance tests on protection systems for substation/extension/new-equipment/relay-renewal/other projects under projects or maintenance departments
