Senior Right of Way Manager

Tasks

-Prepares offer and conveyance documents for property being acquired for transportation or utility projects. -Recruits, hires, develops and retains staff, including development of plan for staff reporting, performance and compensation reviews, and succession. Coordinates schedules and approves timecards. -This position will review the documents and manage the projects. -Reviews title work to determine ownership and encumbrances needing to be cleared, as well as appraisals to understand the basis of the offer and impact to the property. -Meets or communicates with property owners to negotiate the offer for the proposed right of way. Responsible for timely completion of the negotiation stage of projects. Reports to lead right of way agent for project and/or right of way manager.

What You Bring

-10+ years relevant experience in NCDOT Right of Way Projects. -Real estate license, as required by state law. -This position will not require a Real Estate License. -HS/GED and 9 years experience with right of way (DOT, transit or utility) or other relevant experience.
