Provide H&S advice, audits & compliance across housing sites

Key Responsibilities

Tasks

-Undertake regular property and estate inspections in line with audit plan, to compile reports and generate effective action plans to rectify any deficiencies -Work with the Health and Safety manager to oversee H&S compliance in the Big 6 areas -Analyse and prepare reports on health and safety trends and compliance across the Group to help inform the health and safety audits and inspections -Undertake accident & incident investigations where required. Maintain the accident database and report incidents under RIDDOR where necessary -Carry out CDM H&S inspections across the construction, contractor, repair and maintenance work sites and compile reports and generate effective action plans to rectify any deficiencies found -To work with the H&S Manager to develop and deliver a range of toolbox talks, drop-in sessions to provide practical and technical health, safety, and environment related improvements -Support the Health and Safety Managers in delivering a high-quality health and safety service within the Group -Manage the Group Health and Safety Inspection and QA regime -To support A2D managers to ensure that all staff are made aware of their obligations and responsibilities under the Group’s Health & Safety procedures and provide advice and guidance in establishing safe working practices -Carry out residential site desktop audits in line with the audit plan, to compile reports and generate effective action plans to rectify any deficiencies

What You Bring

-Ability to manage multiple projects and work to deadlines -Educated to GCSE level or equivalent in Math’s and English (Grades A*- C) -Excellent communicator & influencer, with evidence of working with broad range of stakeholders -NEBOSH General Certificate OR Level 4 NVQ Occupational Health & Safety -Good working knowledge of CDM & contractor management -Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to make high quality presentations in a variety of stressful environments -Experience using IT systems including databases and Microsoft office packages -Health & Safety experience preferably in housing sector -Must hold a valid and clean UK Driving Licence
