Overview
Design and analyze bridges and related structures for transportation projects
Key Responsibilities

Tasks
-Provide analysis and design for new highway, rail & pedestrian bridge structures. -Maintain task budgets and schedules. -Support business development with preliminary design concepts, and site assessments as needed -Visit work sites as needed. -Design transportation related structures including retaining walls, underground vaults and culverts. -Communicates with supervisor and clients regarding project issues. -Support the advancement of project design teams with mentoring and direction of younger engineers and technicians -Perform analysis and load rating of structures using multiple software packages including CSI Bridge, SAP2000, MIDAS, LEAP, MDX, LPile and AAHSTOWare. -Prepare construction drawings, project special provisions and structure selection reports.

What You Bring
-Self-motivated individual with strong written and verbal communication skills -Minimum 6 years of experience. A Master’s degree can be substituted for 1-2 years of experience. -Demonstrate initiative and attention to detail and accuracy -Knowledge of CDOT Bridge Design manuals and design standards -Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Colorado -Proficient in MicroStation and/or AutoCAD -Working knowledge of AASHTO LRFD design code -Willingness to travel up to 25%. -It is unlawful in Massachusetts to require or administer a lie detector test as a condition of employment or continued employment. An employer who violates this law shall be subject to criminal penalties and civil liability. -Bachelor’s degree (BS) in Civil/Structural Engineering from an accredited university -Experience with CSI Bridge or MIDAS (or equivalent structural analysis software), and Finite Element Modeling a plus -Project Management Experience is a plus
