Inspect transportation construction for quality, safety, and code compliance.

Tasks
-Makes field notes and computations -Performs routine tests on concreate, soils and other materials -Review and interpret plans, site layouts, specifications and construction methods to ensure compliance to legal requirements and safety regulations. -Measure dimensions and verify level, alignment, and elevation of structures, fixtures, grades and/or pavement to ensure compliance to plans and codes. -Gathers and maintains record documents

What You Bring
-Computer Proficiency -Active driver’s license -High school diploma or equivalent (may be substituted for experience) -1-4 years of roadway construction inspection experience -Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management -Must successfully complete and pass JMT's Motor Vehicle screening -Client Requested certifications (VDOT: Soils & Aggregate, Asphalt I & II, Pavement Marking, GRIT; DEQ: E&S and SWM Inspector; Intermediate Workzone; Nuclear Safety; ACI-Concrete Field Tech)
