Tasks

You’ll play a key role by ensuring the initial reference configuration meets the highest quality standards. You’ll validate and refine input data from HPC to make sure it aligns with SZC’s requirements, while also helping to identify and resolve issues within the MEH scope as equipment moves from manufacture or fabrication to installation on site. As a MEH Project Manager you’ll bring your technical and operational expertise to support on the Mechanical, Electrical & HVAC (MEH) branch of the Hinkley Point C (HPC) project. You’ll work collaboratively across both SZC and HPC, identifying and implementing practical solutions that capture valuable lessons learned from HPC and feed them back into SZC’s design and delivery. -Build and maintain strong relationships with project managers, engineering teams, and other key stakeholders across the delivery programmes and the Technical Directorate to ensure effective coordination and knowledge sharing. -Maintain site configuration across key project phases -Coordinate continuous improvement initiatives within the Hinkley Point C (HPC) project, sharing learnings with Sizewell C (SZC) and proposing practical solutions (e.g., development of the Standards Field Solutions concept). -Lead the definition and implementation of Standard Field Solutions for the MEH scope, ensuring alignment with established approaches used in the Civil discipline. -Support the MEH branch by ensuring the initial reference configuration - based on the latest and most relevant HPC deliverables—meets the highest quality standards. -Manage engagement with IT systems and tools, ensuring alignment with process and data management requirements. -Deliver replication activities within the scope, with a focus on replication planning and implementation for SZC. -Resolve mechanical–civil interface challenges on site, with a particular focus on tolerance issues arising from pre-cast components. -Address and resolve issues within the MEH scope, following the delivery of manufactured or fabricated equipment to site, managing associated risks and volumes effectively.

What You Bring

Many of our UK projects require high-level security clearance, meaning we can often only consider candidates with an existing, indefinite right to work in the UK. Exceptionally, we may consider visa sponsorship for applicants with niche experience aligned to our core work (e.g. EPR/nuclear new build). -Background in mechanical, electrical, process, systems, or civil engineering for large-scale industrial plants. -Training & Development, including additional qualifications and accreditations relevant to your role -Reside locally to Bridgwater or be prepared to relocate, as this permanent role does not include travel expense coverage. -Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering or a related discipline -Proven experience in coordinating multi-disciplinary design and procurement activities, driving teams to deliver outcomes on schedule. -Knowledge of engineering principles specific to EPR projects, including a detailed understanding of EPR design. -Previous experience working on Hinkley Point C (HPC) or other EPR projects. -Proven ability to manage internal and external stakeholder relationships effectively -Experience in pre-tender and tender processes for procuring design, manufacturing, or installation contracts for industrial equipment. -Strong project management, project engineering, and technical coordination capabilities. -Awareness of commercial considerations in the delivery of major projects.
