Design and develop new power generation equipment prototypes, integrating technology.

Tasks

-Consult on prototype construction and provide some hands-on assistance. -Consult on test plan development and review test results. -Identify new technologies that can be integrated ti improve upon power generation equipment. -Use hands to type, touch, handle, or feel -Coordinate and conduct rapid conceptual product designs. -Create and design new power generation equipment in a close-knit team environment. -Conduct initial and follow-on research for feasibility justifications. -Refine design concepts into manufactured products. -Perform basic project management, including task and timeline management. -Coordinate and conduct detailed product designs.

What You Bring

-Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers. -2 years design experience -Able to Climb into confined spaces that may contain hazardous gas -Strong prioritization, organization, and project management skills. -SolidWorks PDM Vault Integration and Utilization -Assembly and/or manufacturing experience -Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related major. -Adaptability and ability to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment. -Basic knowledge of a variety of trade skills. -Walking or moving throughout facility -Able to work independently and ensure tasks are completed with little supervision. -Customer focuses attitude, with high level of professionalism and discretion. -Adaptable/flexible - enjoys doing work that requires frequent shifts in direction. -Hands-on - enjoys technical work with results in some hands-on assembly and testing. -Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time -Ability to communicate ideas effectively and maintain deadlines. -Possess the ability to be a team player. -1 year of 3D parts modeling (as primary duty). -Seeing (Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus) -Willing to consent to and pass a background check and drug screening. -CNC equipment knowledge -Willingness to work flexible hours including occasional evenings and weekends as required. -SolidWorks or related CAD systems -Excellent communication skills with a strong attention to detail both verbally and written. -Basic knowledge of industrial equipment maintenance. -A problem solver – conceptualizes problems and attacks them from unique angle.
