The Role

Overview

Perform structural inspections, testing, design, and documentation under senior engineer.

Tasks

-Prepares comprehensive engineering documents including inspection reports, design plans and specifications under direction of a higher-level engineer. -Actively promotes a safe work culture. -Performs field inspection and evaluation of structures under direction of a higher-level engineer. -Performs complex engineering computations involving conventional engineering practices under direction of a higher-level engineer. -Actively participates in internal project meetings and works to actively resolve project issues. -Performs testing of materials and incorporates results into reports under direction of a higher-level engineer.

What You Bring

-Valid US Passport -Engineer-In-Training (EIT) -NASBLA Boater Safety Course -Technical knowledge, experience, and capabilities in structural engineering. -Proficiency in computer-assisted structural engineering and office software and equipment. -TWIC Card -Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) in the English language. -0-4 years of relevant structural design engineering experience. -FHWA-NHI #130053 – Bridge Inspection Refresher -ADCI Commercial Diver -OSHA 30 Hour Construction Safety Course -First Aid, CPR & O2 Provider -Valid US Driver’s License -Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage tasks efficiently and effectively. -Bachelor’s degree and or Master’s degree in civil or structural engineering from an accredited four-year university. -Ability to define problems, collect/interpret data, evaluate facts, draw valid conclusions, and effectively communicate findings/results. -FHWA-NHI #130078 – Fracture Critical Inspection Techniques for Steel Bridges
