The Role

Overview

Diagnose, repair, maintain heavy equipment and ensure readiness for rental.

Tasks

-Follow all company’s filed procedures and protocols -Maintains tools in good working order per MSHA and OSHA regulations Completes basic computer tasks including completing work orders, looking up parts, and communicating via email -Produce timely and detailed service reports -Communicates with coworkers -Troubleshoots and diagnoses all types of equipment to ensure proper working condition on the job site or in the shop -Bring to the attention of the Service Manager any shop tools or equipment that is not in a serviceable condition or unsafe to use -Inspects, diagnoses, repairs, reconditions and adjusts heavy equipment as required and completes all paperwork on the equipment to which the individual is assigned -Performs routine equipment clean-up and upkeep as well as safety review and pre-delivery inspections -Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions -Cooperate with technical team and share information across the organization -Tie workflow to schedule -Participate in all training programs directed by Service Manager -Manage all on site installation, repair, maintenance, and test tasks -Operate equipment in a safe manner

What You Bring

-Extensive knowledge of diesel engines and construction equipment -Environment is consistent with heavy equipment yard and shop -Must have own tools -Minimal travel required. Only required for factory sponsored training -Must be able and willing to help train and assist other technicians in need of assistance -Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair, and service technical equipment -Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams. -Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
