Lead construction inspection and management for transportation projects in Upstate NY.

Tasks

-Establish and grow market presence in Upstate NY through marketing and business development focused on transportation construction projects -Coordinate strategic growth plan with office managers and practice leaders -Perform performance reviews for staff based on input from project managers on assigned teams -Establish resources staffing needs for the section -Manage financial budget for department and allocate resources accordingly -Lead and contribute to the production of proposals -Interview and hire staff for the section -Lead and manage team members by providing leadership and continuous performance management (setting expectations, goals, feedback, 1:1 meeting, coaching) that supports the growth and development of team -Serve as a technical expertise resource to project managers and technical staff -Maintains/builds client relationships -Assists design disciplines with constructability questions/issues

What You Bring

-Professional Engineer License or equivalent -Experience working with local clients at the local municipal, county and state level -Proficient in Microsoft Office -10+ years’ experience in transportation construction management and inspection field -Must successfully complete and pass JMT's Motor Vehicle screening -Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field from an accredited program -Supervisory experience -Active driver’s license -Project management and business development experience
