Inspect municipal construction projects for code compliance, measurements and reporting.

Tasks

-Generate detailed daily reports of construction activities and other required documentation. -Monitor construction activities to ensure accuracy and compliance with all codes, standards, plans and specifications. -Review soil erosion and sedimentation control measures on a regular basis and generates necessary reports. -Oversee traffic control operations to ensure public safety and convenience. -Act as a liaison between coworkers, clients, contractors and other consultants to keep the project team up to date and coordinate as necessary. -Perform field measurements for contractor payment and generating accurate depictions of completed construction work.

What You Bring

-Excellent written and oral communication skills -Previous construction inspection experience a plus -2 years of experience in general construction work -Completion of High School Diploma or G.E.D. -Ability to interpret technical drawings and contract specifications -Valid driver’s license -2 years of college level construction/engineering courses -3+ years experience in municipal construction (sewer, water, pathway, road)
