Tasks

-Plan, implement, and oversee VDC processes through appropriate technology platforms -Working with survey data; communicating with project field teams through Trimble Business Center software to deliver designs to survey equipment -Assist in training on VDC processes -Document work process as it relates to improving and/or changing current company process standards -Provide point of contact for construction team members on VDC processes and reports during all phases of construction

What You Bring

-Autodesk AutoCAD Civil 3D to design optimized road and site grading models, alignments, profiles, corridors, grading groups, etc. -Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policies effectively -(for Non-Craft & Non-Union Craft working 25+ hours / week) -Proficiency with Autodesk AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, and/or ArcGIS software -Possess basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices -Strong communication, teamwork orientation, initiative, problem-solving, and leadership skills -Must be currently legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status, 0-1, TN, CPT, OPT, etc.). We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time. -Detail orientation sufficient to organize and handle multiple project tasks at a time -Positive and professional attitude, and strong customer service skills -GIS data management is a plus -Current driver’s license -Completion of intermediate level of BIM/VDC software training -All integrated construction team members should be active participants in Mortenson’s IDAT (Integrated Delivery Advancement Team) community of practice- sharing knowledge -4+ years related experience -Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Management, Civil Engineering Technology, or equivalent field -Survey data knowledge and/or experience is preferred -Microsoft Office, project, and pertinent web application skills at an intermediate level
