Overview
Repair & maintain diesel & non‑diesel trucks, diagnose issues, and perform preventive upkeep.

Tasks
-Safely provides road service when necessary to ensure that the Company’s equipment is returned to operation in a safe and efficient manner. -Replaces fuses for various mechanical, including control, hydraulic, and electrical systems; and air and hydraulic braking systems. -Identifies the source of malfunctions using a variety of electronic diagnostic tools and performs repair and maintenance on vehicle and equipment engines, chassis component, suspension, drivetrain, steering systems, heating and cooling systems and line maintenance welding and fabrication. -Plans work procedures, using technical charts and manuals. -Follows checklists to ensure that all critical parts are examined.

What You Bring
-Understanding of work order labor time standards. -Automotive Service Technician 310S/ Truck and Coach 310T certification. (preferred) -Maintains a working knowledge of, and moderate skill proficiency in vehicle components and systems, and performs preventative and repair maintenance functions, both on-site and on the road. -Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic and other systems. -Valid Driver’s License. (required) -2-4 years of experience in a technician position demonstrating knowledge of both gasoline and diesel powered equipment diagnosis and repair. -Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills. -Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods. -Working knowledge of tools, and common devices. -Knowledge of maintenance work to be performed on Classes 1-5 light/medium duty and heavy-duty Class 7-8 trucks. -Ability to perform basic inspections of heavy truck, or automotive systems.
