Tasks

-Keeping our internal customers updated with activities which may impact on their processes. -Undertake any training required to carry out work activities in a safe or legal manner. -Assisting Operational staff with the resolution of complex problems. -To maintain training and competencies in-line with job requirements including participation in the M+E competency framework -Providing recommended / detailed specification of parts for ordering of stock replacements and parts needed to undertake repairs -Development of new skills such as installing and maintaining mechanical equipment in potentially explosive atmospheres -Using, or if necessary, requesting method statements and safe systems of work for the activities you carry out. -Work with other disciplines in a workshop/mobile team -Apply first level maintenance activities to all onsite assets -Carry out planned maintenance on mechanical equipment to the highest standard of workmanship including, but not limited to: -Acting as the duty mechanical craft Person on a standby/call-out rota basis. -Carrying out work activities as scheduled -Manufacturing and fabrication of parts and equipment. -Using Breathing Apparatus and working in confined spaces and/or at height if required -Monitor, fault find, maintain and repair a wide variety of equipment on Wastewater Treatment sites, including: pumps, gearboxes, and specialist treatment process machinery -Development of new skills both in and outside of your core discipline such as electrical disconnections.

What You Bring

-CompEx 11 -A full UK driving license is required -Ability to fault find and repair large complex pieces of mechanical equipment -A completed Apprenticeship in a relevant technical discipline -Experience of working with Waste Water treatment processes would be desirable -Welding or Fabrication experience
