Tasks

General Facility (multi-craft) Maintenance:- Perform routine upkeep of building systems including plumbing, lighting, HVAC, and basic electrical.- Maintain grounds: snow removal, weed control, trash removal, and general exterior care.- Ensure safe and clean working conditions in all areas.- Install fixtures, complete carpentry/repair projects, and assist in facility upgrades. The General & Industrial Maintenance Technician ensures the efficient operation, repair, and upkeep of both facility systems and production/manufacturing equipment. This role combines responsibilities for general building and grounds maintenance with industrial equipment repair and troubleshooting, supporting safe, reliable, and efficient operations across Bestbath’s Industrial Maintenance:- Prepare, start up, and shut down production equipment and plant.- Inspect, repair, maintain and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment, pumps, spray equipment, guns, and production tools.- Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.- Perform welding (MIG,TIG, Stick and Aluminum), fabrication, and small rebuilds as required.- Support raw material testing and verification and movement. Works effectively with team members, supervisors, vendors, and other departments. Team & Compliance:- Train and support less experienced maintenance staff.- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.- Work overtime, weekends, or holidays as needed for facility or project requirements.- Other duties as assigned.

What You Bring

Maintains accuracy and follows proper procedures across diverse tasks. -Can demonstrate usage of measuring tools (tape, calipers, micrometers, etc.) Problem Solver Strong mechanical, electrical, welding, plumbing, fabrication and troubleshooting knowledge.- Ability to operate forklifts (certification required).- Valid driver’s license with insurable record.- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).- Ability to read blueprints, tape measures, calipers, and technical manuals.- Lean problem-solving training (preferred). Preventative/Predictive maintenance experience and knowledge -CNC equipment repairs a plus- CCT certification (will certify OJT) -Can read drawings and interpret blueprints -Has knowledge of VFDs, PLCs, and electric motors -CMMS software knowledge a plus Drills, saws, grinders, mixers, forklifts, welding equipment, HVAC tools, plumbing tools, and other hand/power tools. PPE includes safety glasses, gloves, ear protection, and other protective gear as required. -Technical school certifications are a plus Diligent & Detail Oriented Work may occur in industrial, facility, and outdoor environments.- Exposure to moderate noise, temperature changes, chemicals, solvents, and hazardous equipment.- Requires standing/walking for extended periods, frequent bending, climbing, lifting up to 100 lbs with assistance.- Must be flexible for day/swing shifts and occasional outdoor weather-related tasks. Comfortable performing both general maintenance (plumbing, HVAC, grounds) and specialized industrial fabrication equipment repair. 3+ years of combined general facility and industrial maintenance experience (manufacturing environment preferred). Strong aptitude for diagnosing and repairing a wide range of facility and industrial systems.
