Monitor, configure, and troubleshoot managed network infrastructure for Equinix customers.

Tasks

-Record all work and incident details using ticketing system -Monitor managed infrastructure and investigate related alerts -Engage other Equinix departments for solutions design and delivery -Provide consultative and professional services to our customers -Promote and enforce best practices on solutions delivery to produce maximum uptime -Work with vendors for product information and technical support -Provide timely response to all incidents, outages and requests to customers and service providers

What You Bring

-Good knowledge of hosting marketplace -Strong analytical and interpersonal skills -Strong understanding of networking fundamentals and OSI model -Excellent teamwork and customer service skills -Excellent verbal and written communication skills -Nice to have knowledge of SQL, Exchange -College, University Degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience -3+ years of network experience in a data center and managed IT services environment -Nice have Cisco CCNA, Microsoft MCSA/MCSE, Red Hat RHCT or other, Network+ or other network and OS related certifications or experience -Ability to work shifts in a 24/7/365 environment -Solid understanding and production experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Citrix, Nutanix etc.) -Strong understanding of IP and TCP/IP protocols -Experience with multi-vendor hosted environments -Knowledge of Equinix Canada processes and systems an advantage -Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment -Capable of building an informal knowledge network to assist in their knowledge and development within Equinix Canada
