Tasks
You will take off quantities and digitize drawings using a take-off software and input those quantities into the pricing spreadsheet. -Communicate with the client throughout the process to ensure our plan is also acceptable. -Walk the job on occasion to receive feedback for future estimates. -Meet with form work suppliers to discuss their ideas for a more efficient cycle. -Price and reconcile drawing changes from drawing set to drawing set. -Analyze proposals and scopes of work from clients and subcontractors. -Meeting with the Field Operations Team and the Safety Department for a preliminary sequencing, form work, budget, and logistics plan, etc. -Attend post bid interviews as needed. -Solicit input from others, and share “lessons learned” with the team. -Develop a critical path schedule and discuss the logic behind the sequence. -Ask questions and brainstorm for the best way to build a complex structure. -Prepare client presentation materials. (Pour plan, form work plan, 3-D models etc.) -Lead the internal estimate review meeting. -Discuss rebar, and post tension quantities and variances with subcontractors.

What You Bring
The Estimator must have direct experience in commercial concrete construction and should have experience in estimating/pursuing project awards, conducting internal preparation meetings upon award. Must have ability to estimate several projects simultaneously while also performing other administrative duties. Must be an exceptional communicator and have positive energy. Building and maintaining client relationships is an essential part of this position. -Leadership or management experience. -Tilt-Up and vertical estimating experience ideal. -Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook). -4-year bachelor’s degree or equivalent. -Possess the ability to visualize 2-D drawings in 3-D and explain your means and methods in simple terms. -Experience in commercial concrete construction. -Estimating experience is required.
