Tasks
-Ensures Project Specific Water Intrusion Plan are established, accountability is assigned to the appropriate individuals for each task and the Plan is regularly updated -May assist in coordinating other JE Dunn teams, including VDC, Quality Group, Safety, Offsite prefabrication, and Self-Perform -Utilizes internal quality assurance systems and tools to prepare reports for field superintendents, project managers and subcontractors detailing compliant and non-compliant quality conditions -Conducts regular walk-through observations of construction sites to ensure compliance with the contract documents, manufacturers’ instructions and industry standards -Ensures that comprehensive documentation of quality assurance processes, test results and corrective actions taken -May conduct basic constructability reviews under direct supervision -Attends pre-planning, pre-installation and progress meetings -Investigates non-compliant conditions; confers with supervisor or other Quality team staff members to determine root cause and provide recommendations in work processes to eliminate reoccurrence -May help schedule and witness third party compliance inspections and performance verification testing -Ensures the Project Quality Status Report is completed prior to the Monthly Project Review Meeting -Autonomy & Decision-Making: Makes decisions on routine matters, provides recommendations to supervisor and refers all exceptions to supervisor. -Participates in creating National Initiatives such as Quality Assurance Manual Updates, Quality Broadcasts, Quality University, etc. -Monitors specific and systemic work practices. Identifies, documents and recommends solutions to construction quality issues -Ensures Project Specific Quality Plans are established, accountability is assigned to the appropriate individuals for each task and the Plan is regularly updated -Collaborates with suppliers to establish and maintain quality standards for incoming materials -Provides mentoring to less experienced co-workers in advanced quality-related topics -Assists with the documentation of quality related information -Ensures all Major Quality Issues are listed and up-to-date on the Project Quality Status Report -Assumes responsibility for conducting detailed constructability reviews and participates in page-turn review meetings -Assumes responsibility for basic training onsite or at office location on construction quality-related topics -May be required to review and certify submittals for accuracy -Participates in the project specific quality plan, project specific water intrusion plan, and project quality status report -Performs intermediate quality assurance testing including water, moisture content, material compatibility and adhesion -Develops comprehension of how to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies -Identifies non-compliant conditions using advanced quality recognition skills

What You Bring
-5+ years construction quality-related experience (Required). -Ability to read drawings, specifications, building codes and other technical product and material data (Intermediate). -Bachelors’ degree in architecture, construction management or related field (Preferred). -Formal presentation skills (Intermediate). -Frequent activity: Standing, Walking, Sitting, Viewing Computer Screen -Capable of communicating project quality status and issues at project review meetings -Learns and actively participates in all aspects of the company’s safety and quality plans and culture by demonstrating commitment to an injury-free environment through individual actions and setting an example for others -Proficiency in basic JE Dunn construction and quality software tools. -Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds -Gains knowledge of design documents in order to identify potential quality problems to assist in developing constructability review reports -Proficiency in MS Office (Intermediate). -May require periods of overnight travel -Ability to perform work accurately and completely, and in a timely manner. -Occasional activity: Bending, Reaching above Shoulder -Valid and unrestricted drivers license required -Ability to build relationships and collaborate within a team, internally and externally. -Knowledge of material and field testing for QA processes (Intermediate). -Must be willing to work non-traditional hours to meet business needs -Utilizes basic understanding of project Contract Documents -Communication skills, verbal and written (Intermediate). -In lieu of the above requirements, equivalent relevant experience will be considered. -Knowledge of construction trades and scopes of work (Intermediate). -Knowledge of construction assemblies for a variety of construction systems (Intermediate).
