The Role
Overview
Lead the design, safety, and delivery of HVDC valve projects, managing and developing engineering teams across India.

Tasks
-Contributes towards strategy and policy development and ensure delivery within area of responsibility. -Responsible for developing specialised knowledge across their team’s disciplines. Train, coach and develop individuals to ensure understanding of the tools, processes and requirements. Proactively develop the competency of the team. -Adopt local responsibility to ensure the team adhere to all Safety, Quality, HR or Financial policies – has line management in a matrix environment. -Ensuring training and licences are up to date, especially for site intervention teams. -Work with the teams around the globe to ensure a joined up approach to deliver the requirements of projects and alignment between engineering teams. -Ensure the highest levels of safety can be achieved during any testing or installation works and is a leading voice to promote safety. -Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. -May lead small projects with moderate risks and resource requirements. -Management of the local team of engineers involved in the design of HVDC Valves. Support those based in Indian but involved in testing and erection at sites (Onshore and Offshore platforms).

What You Bring
-Experience working in a matrix organization -Experience in HVDC or a related engineering field. -Has been involved in continuous improvement / LEAN activities. -Uses judgment to make decisions or solve complex tasks or problems in areas of operational / product management, manufacturing, technology or engineering. -Prior experience of electrical transmission industry with site experience -Ability to empower a team and show compassion in their interactions. -Demonstrates Accountability in previous actions / roles. -Educated to degree level in engineering or related discipline, or -Strong oral and written communication skills. High standard of English -Able to work to deadlines with high quality -High attention to detail. -Demonstrated ability to analyse and resolve problems. -This role requires significant experience in the Engineering / Technology & Systems Engineering Management -EHS compliance ability - good strong knowledge of safety and the environment.
