  • As a Rock Mechanics specialist, your input and expertise will be vital in supporting and developing our wider Geohazards and Engineering Geomorphology Team across Canada.
  • Demonstrate innovation and maintain awareness of emerging technologies and advanced techniques.
  • Candidates should have the right flare and ability that will help us develop and expand our infrastructure geotechnics capability by building on the existing portfolio of our rapidly expanding, flexible and outward looking team that can tackle work across a broad spectrum of sectors.
  • The successful applicant will be a Geotechnical Engineer specializing in Rock Mechanics with a strong focus on the design and construction of shafts and tunnels.
  • Professional Engineering License (P.Eng) in Ontario or eligibility to obtain.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • A focused expertise on rock mechanics and rock engineering projects dealing with rock face stability, tunneling and underground excavations in rock, foundations, and rockfall hazards.
  • A willingness to travel on short assignments both within Ontario and nationwide.
  • Strong project management and client relationship skills.
  • The candidate will have a degree in civil engineering or geology with a postgraduate qualification in a geotechnical subject and have a minimum of 8 years’ pertinent experience.
