Fabricate structural steel components using welding, layout, and rigging.

Tasks
-Employees regularly works near heavy equipment and moving machinery. -Layout of structural steel weldments from a set of drawings using typical measuring instruments. -Frequently work with hands extended overhead, sometimes in conjunction with the operation of hand power tools. -Employees must maintain constant alertness to the multiple concurrent activities of the shop, including the activities of other employees, the operation of stationary equipment, and the movement of mobile equipment. -Bolting of structural steel connections -Conduct pre-shift safety inspection of work area, tools and equipment.

What You Bring
-Has knowledge of common equipment and procedures used in a fabrication shop like: forklifts, overhead (gantry) cranes, band-saw, Angle Master, hole punch. -Is safety-oriented and exhibits safe work habits. -The candidate must be able to legally work in the United States. -Has ability to read and work from a set of project documents (drawings, specifications, and procedures (WPS)). -Must be able to pass the required welding certification tests for the appropriate processes and positions. -Manual dexterity to hand-carry steel and other fabrication materials, power tools, and hand tools. -The candidate must be willing to work safely and keep OSHA recordable incidents to a minimum. -Use of rigging for handling structural steel. -Has 5-10 years of experience in steel fabrication. -Ability to lift and carry, on a frequent basis, at least 50-90 pounds personally, and up to 150 pounds with assistance. -Is detail oriented and values quality workmanship. -The candidate must be willing to work in a drug-free environment and agree to a post offer drug test. -Use of hand tools, including but not limited to: banding tools, drills, taps, grinders, impact wrenches, hydraulic rams, etc. -The candidate must possess a professional attitude, as well as the willingness to perform the tasks given in order to meet all customer / projects needs. -Constant physical effort, including standing, is required during a regular work shift of at least eight hours per day, Monday through Friday. Employee must be able to stand for extended periods of time, and to stoop, bend, and crouch as required to perform Essential Duties. -Demonstrated welding experience with at least one, but preferably all, of the following processes: FCAW-G (Flux Core), SMAW (Stick), SAW (Sub Arc). -Is able to think critically about a task and to independently work at completing it within the given parameters. -Demonstrated experience with air-arc gouging. -Demonstrated welding experience in welding: carbon steel, aluminum, stainless steel
