Tasks

-Plans and directs activities of designated project to ensure that goals or objectives of the project are accomplished within the prescribed time frame and funding parameters. -Manage issues and disputes between workers, clients, and subcontractors professionally and timely. -Develops and negotiates subcontractor scopes of work. -Generate status reports prepared in conjunction with project personnel and modify schedules and plans as required (i.e. weekly and monthly review) and prepare a monthly analysis. -Coordinates project activities with activities of government regulatory or other governmental agencies. -Manage Contractual agreements and change orders. -Confer with project personnel to provide technical advice and resolve problems. -Prepare project reports for management, clients, or others clearly keeping everyone involved aware of project progress and challenges. -Create and review project proposals or plan to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing the project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of the project. -Ensure that submittals and progress payments are processed timely. -Actively participates in proposal preparation and cost estimating. -Manage supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. -Confer with project staff to outline work plan and set goals, assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority. -Analyze cost and schedule problems and initiate new alternatives that will bring the project back on course, and initiate action to execute the plan. Look for and analyze items with excessive costs. -Arrange for recruitment or assignment of project personnel. -Direct and coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure the project progresses on schedule and within the prescribed budget. -Establish the work plan and staffing for each phase of the project fully understanding the project scope and potential risks. -Ensure project safety and quality is properly incorporated into job planning and execution.

What You Bring

-Experience with Primavera scheduling software. -Capable of communicating persuasively and exercising effective negotiation techniques as needed -An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for this requirement. -Ability to form strong relationships with management, clients, and subcontractors -Ability to develop and negotiate subcontractor scopes of work. -LG2 Environmental Solutions (LG2) -Competent in using Microsoft Office products, email systems, and Windows -Ability to understand and interpret building designs, schematics, remedial design drawings, demolition plans, and specifications. -Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. -Department of Defense (DoD) client experience, with a focus on U.S. Navy and Air Force projects -Ten years managing construction with a value range of $10-$50 million -Degrees in business will also be considered with experience in construction. -Minimum ten years successful project management experience with emphasis on management of costs, schedule, communication and application of other project resources on construction projects. -Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from project stakeholders, comprised of federal and local government agencies, regulators, clients, local community groups, and local subcontractors’ contractors Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations, FAR knowledge. -Ability to develop, maintain, and effectively communicate project schedules. -Bachelor's degree in engineering, project management, or construction management. -Firm fixed price project experience -Skilled in interfacing with executive management to convey project status
