Tasks

You’ll conduct forensic investigations on residential, commercial, and industrial properties to determine the cause and origin of structural failures, construction defects, and building envelope damage. This position combines technical fieldwork, analytical reporting, and client interaction, ideal for engineers who enjoy applying their expertise beyond design work. -Review drawings, specifications, and historical data to support findings. -Manage multiple concurrent projects and coordinate with multidisciplinary experts. -Analyse structural performance and determine cause, origin, and extent of damage. -Provide technical support and expert insight during claims or legal proceedings. -Prepare clear written and verbal reports outlining conclusions and recommended remediation. -Perform on-site investigations to assess construction, design, and material failures.

What You Bring

We’re representing a national engineering consulting firm seeking a Civil or Structural Engineer to join their forensics and building division in Little Rock, Arkansas. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys hands-on investigations, problem-solving, and working across diverse structural and building envelope projects. -B.S. or higher in Civil Engineering. -P.E. licence (or E.I.T. with intent to obtain P.E. shortly). -Proficient with Microsoft Office and engineering design software. -Experience in field investigations, project management, or forensic work preferred. -Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills. -Must be comfortable with field inspections, roof access, and confined spaces. -2–10+ years of relevant civil or structural experience.
