Intern Engineering Designer, Bridge

Assist bridge engineers with design, modeling, take‑offs and site work.

Tasks

-Assist with project monitoring and scheduling -Perform quantity take-offs -Collaborate with other engineers, drafters, and support staff -Attend site visits or inspections -Assist in production of engineering drawings, calculations, and cost estimates under close supervision of senior engineers -Assist with producing progress reports -Assist with computer modeling

What You Bring

-Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also able to effectively collaborate in a team environment -Requires current 3rd or 4th year standing as an undergraduate, or a Graduate student standing, in an accredited Civil Engineering program. BS degree preferred. -AutoCAD and/or MicroStation experience is preferred -Strong commitment to integrity, consistently demonstrating ethical, fair, and responsible behavior -Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of producing clear documentation and interacting professionally with clients and colleagues -Experience with MS Word, Excel and engineering software, such as SAP 2000, CSI Bridge, etc., is preferred. -Ability to apply the use of proper codes and standards in the production of engineering deliverables -Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with a proven ability to efficiently prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously -Become familiar with engineering plans and details
