Customer Service Technician

Overview

Perform home warranty repairs, manage subcontractors, and ensure homeowner satisfaction.

Tasks

-Follows up with homeowners to ensure concerns are addressed in a timely and professional manner -Evaluates homeowner repair issues to determine if they are warrantable items -Performs necessary repairs to homes such as carpentry work, drywall, texture repair and painting -Processes charge-back documentation and invoices -Ensure all repairs are completed within compliance standards -Conducts all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company -Develop and maintain good rapport with subcontractors and homeowners -Schedules and manages subcontractors to make designated warranty repairs -Processes written or electronic work orders and/or verbal instructions from supervisor for homeowner repairs

What You Bring

-Ability to work independently and be productive without supervision -Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds -Ability to travel overnight -Ability to work overtime -Ability to provide a systematic approach in carrying out assignments -Proficiency with MS Office and email -Must have a vehicle capable of carrying supplies, valid driver’s license and be willing to drive among designated communities in daytime and nighttime -Experience with minor electrical, plumbing and HVAC repair work preferred -Excel in effective and positive communications -Three or more years related experience, including carpentry work, drywall, texture repair and painting -Certifies warranty work is completed within contractor obligations -High school diploma or general education degree (GED) -Work effectively in high pressure situations -Prior customer service experience a plus -Ability to utilize DRH Warranty applications on a smart phone, tablet, or laptop
