Maintenance Technician

Overview

Perform planned & corrective maintenance on plant equipment, ensuring uptime.

Tasks

-Ensure that all tools and equipment are properly maintained and kept in a clean and tidy condition. -Use skills and experience to monitor plant performance and condition in order to identify potential breakdowns before they occur, ensuring that any required actions are correctly reported. -Be actively involved in new plant installations/modifications from the design stage through to final commissioning. -Provide a 24-hour, 7 day/week support service to the site via a rota call out system. -To apply the Sibelco Health, Safety & Environmental Policy ensuring all systems/standards are applied at all times.

What You Bring

-Competent in welding and fabrication -Knowledge of mineral processing equipment including, screening, pumping, drying or similar industrial equipment would be a significant advantage. -Knowledge of LEAN manufacturing techniques including SMED, RCPS, 5’s, etc -Current clean driving license -Willingness to adjust hours to suit business needs. -Recognised apprenticeship or equivalent -Enjoy working in a team whilst being comfortable working autonomously. -Basic electrical understanding and a willingness to further develop in electrical competence would also be preferential. -ONC/HNC Mechanical Engineering
