The Role

Overview

Lead mechanical design and project execution for facilities engineering projects.

Tasks

-Participate in a wellness program promoting balanced lifestyles -Supervise, coordinate, and review the work of less experienced staff, providing mentorship and guidance. -Work closely with project managers on the execution of design work, reporting overall progress and managing potential challenges to meet project objectives. -Assist with the project scope of work and schedule and may attend client meetings to foster strong partnerships. -Maintain project and client information within the firm’s project management system. -Coordinate across other Olsson teams and direct team members on design tasks to maintain alignment with project goals. -Independently tackle complex assignments, developing new and improved techniques and procedures. -Prepare project documents, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget, aligning with project objectives. -Perform detailed engineering tasks including project design, cost estimates, and design calculations utilizing advanced knowledge and experience.

What You Bring

-Ability to contribute and work well with a team. -Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills. -Must be a registered professional engineer with at least six years of relevant engineering experience. -Bachelor’s degree in engineering. -Strong communication skills. -Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit, with a strong understanding of International Building Codes.
