Tasks

Vendor and Contract Management: Negotiate contracts with service providers for cleaning, security, landscaping, system maintenance and repairs, and other facility needs. Budgeting and Cost Control: Manage financial aspects, including budgeting for repairs, utilities, and operational expenses. Supports the Client's Facility Senior Manager in the day-to-day operational management of all aspects of the property to ensure maintenance of approved quality standards. Compliance and Safety: Ensure the property meets government regulations, environmental standards, and health and safety requirements. Security and Risk Management: Implement security measures and emergency preparedness plans. Responsible for the completion of work order requests in a timely fashion and to the satisfaction of the requested associate. May coordinate with Senior Manager or other maintenance staff regarding completion of requests. Maintenance and Repairs: Oversee routine maintenance, inspections, and emergency repairs. The Facility Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, security, capital and operation-based project implementation and overall functionality of properties within the client's portfolio. Their role ensures that buildings and facilities remain safe, efficient, and well-maintained for tenants, employees, or visitors. The Facility Project Manager would work directly with, and report to, the client's Building Asset Management Senior Manager, for Connecticut Building Operations and Projects. Responsible for the preparation and coordination of all maintenance programs relating to interior and exterior conditions and appearance of the properties.

What You Bring

Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred. Mechanical knowledge to understand and address maintenance issues promptly. Ability to handle multiple complex tasks with minimal supervision while also adhering to the policies and procedures and Owner objectives. Strong computer, writing and communication skills. Ability to work well with a variety of different individuals both inside and outside of the company. Direct experience managing building portfolio projects such as HVAC, office renovations, power systems / generators, site infrastructure / parking lot improvements, UPS and building additions / new structures. Strong leadership skills to manage a team effectively. Minimum of 3-5 years of facility coordination or management experience required. Effective leadership in a matrix organization.
