Tasks

-Review plans and specifications to understand project scope and risks -Mentor and guide junior estimators and interns -Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and vendors -Lead the preparation of detailed estimates for projects of various sizes and types -Lead bid day efforts, including scope reviews and final pricing strategy -Continuously track cost trends, market conditions, and labor availability -Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and leadership to align budgets with project goals -Develop conceptual and schematic budgets during early project phases

-Excellent communication and negotiation skills -Proven ability to prepare accurate, detailed estimates under tight deadlines -Advanced proficiency in estimating and takeoff software -Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred -7+ years of experience in construction estimating, preferably in commercial construction -Strong knowledge of building systems, assemblies, and trade sequencing
