Tasks

-Serve as the wing-to-wing logistics subject-matter expert, ensuring upstream/downstream integration with logistics sourcing, indirect and direct sourcing, operations and service. -Partner with lean leaders to help Drive Lean and problem-solving methods (VSM, Kaizen, 5 Whys, fishbone) to eliminate waste, simplify processes, and reduce cycle times. -Work cross functionally to help better align logistics network capacity visibility with demand/S&OP forecasts -Develop packaging, load planning, and cube utilization standards to maximize trailer/container fill and reduce damages. -Promote a culture of continuous improvement and global best-practice sharing across businesses. -Partner with compliance teams to align on Incoterms, customs, and export/import requirements; minimize demurrage/detention, assess risk, and ensure adherence to regulatory standards. -Design and optimize the end-to-end logistics network across HDNU, Aero, OFS, and Steam, including lane strategy, modal mix, routing, consolidation, cross-docking, and capacity planning to reduce cost-to-serve and cycle time. -Identify manual pain points; implement automation and tool enhancements to reduce touches and exceptions. -Use scenario modeling and analytics to evaluate trade-offs (cost, speed, service, carbon footprint) and support leadership decisions. -Lead strategic logistics initiatives from charter through benefits realization, including scope, budget, schedule, and resource planning. -Establish governance, stage gates, and change control; report progress in leadership reviews and drive timely decision-making. -Leverage TMS and related tools to improve routing, visibility, and execution; drive freight audit/pay accuracy and exception reduction. -Help manage implementation of logistics digital solutions (e.g., TMS enhancements, track-and-trace). -Develop business cases, quantify savings and productivity, and track benefits against targets -Develop, harmonize, and maintain global operational procedures and SOPs; ensure they are simple, fast, and non-bureaucratic. -Lead training, capability-building, and certification for teams; ensure effective handoffs and sustained adoption. -Data quality management across our systems (OTM, WMSA, & others) -Implement standard work, control plans, and error-proofing to improve quality and reduce damages, exceptions, and claims.

What You Bring

-Strong analytics skills; proficiency with Excel and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI/Tableau). Experience with network modeling/scenario tools a plus. -Experience across multiple business flows or comparable industrial/manufacturing/value-stream environments. -Proven success leading cross-functional, global projects and influencing at senior levels. -Minimum 7 years of experience in logistics, project management, or supply chain operations, with demonstrated results in transportation and network optimization. -Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills; able to operate with urgency and sound judgment in ambiguous environments. -Hands-on experience with TMS/ERP (e.g., Oracle OTM, SAP TM/S4), freight audit/pay, and logistics visibility tools. -Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or related field. -Certifications: PMP and/or Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt preferred. -Knowledge of global trade, Incoterms, customs/export controls, and compliance best practices.
