Tasks

-Development of technical papers and/or presentations that showcase technical capabilities at industry conferences or other events. -At times, assisting with development of technical papers and/or presentations that showcase HDR’s technical capabilities at industry conferences or other events. -Leveraging technical experience and expertise while working in close coordination with a PM, to manage and execute the engineering and design components of distribution projects. -Working with senior engineers and technical leaders to identify and develop specific technical expertise and attending training and seminars focused on further development and understanding of complex concepts related to the electrical distribution industry. -Coordinating and/or leading the QA/QC process on projects per HDR’s Quality Management Systems (QMS) requirements with a commitment to delivering world class quality. -Developing and implementing a project execution plan for the technical aspect of distribution projects. -At times, leading multiple projects concurrently, utilizing teams in different locations. -Working independently and/or directing, mentoring, training, and/or supervising one or more Project Engineers, EITs, Designers, CADD technicians and administrative staff. -Supporting the technical aspect of scope, schedule, and budget, including proposal development, work breakdown structure development and implementation, progress assessment, risk assessment/mitigation, change management, and schedule management. -Performing quality checks and/or reviews of projects from other teams as needed. -Participating in project reviews as needed.

What You Bring

-Experience with electrical and planning analysis software i.e. CYMCAP, ETAP or Polywater Pull Planner -Excellent time management -Attention to detail -Experience with reliability, grid modernization, electrification and conversion projects -Experience with design tools for pole loading analysis: i.e. PLS-CADD, O-calc, SpidaCalc or Pole Foreman -Highly organized -Track record of working cooperatively with diverse teams, regional, department, technical managers and project staff. -Professional registration, license or certification may be required based on role -Overhead and underground electrical design experience -Strong written and interpersonal communications skills -Ability to handle multiple assignments -PE License -Strong communication and listening skills -Ability to work with limited supervision -Experience with New Business Designs for Residential, Commercial, and industrial Projects -Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience -A minimum of 10 years experience -Good leadership and organizational skills -Experience using Cad software packages for Electrical Distribution i.e. PLS-CADD, MicroStation/AutoCAD/ArcGIS -Experience with data center and renewables projects. -Experience providing estimated costs, development of a BOM
