Tasks

-Monitor project budgets, allocate resources effectively, and identify opportunities to optimize project efficiency and profitability. -Project Delivery & Financial Management: Oversee the delivery of complex water resources projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and on budget. Responsible for team performance and meeting project financial targets. -Oversee and manage multiple Water Resources projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with client specifications and industry standards. -Team Leadership: Lead and mentor staff to ensure successful project delivery and operational performance. -Ensure that all deliverables meet quality standards, regulatory requirements, and client expectations. -Provide technical leadership and expertise in design, analysis, and problem-solving, assisting team members in resolving complex technical challenges. -Stream Restoration Planning and Design -Flood Control Planning and Design -Technical Expertise: Provide technical guidance to team members and clients. Apply expertise in designing drainage systems and performing hydrologic and hydraulic analyses using riverine and stormwater models. -Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize any adverse impacts on project outcomes. -Manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of the function and department processes. -Leadership Development: Foster an environment of continuous professional development by coaching staff, providing opportunities for growth, and ensuring the team stays at the forefront of industry trends and technologies. -Water Quality Planning and Design -Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, serving as the primary point of contact, understanding their needs, and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle. -Strategic Planning: Adapt strategic plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges. Collaborate with Directors and Operations Managers to align team efforts with broader company goals. -Floodplain Management, Studies and Mapping -Lead and mentor a team of professionals, technicians, and support staff, providing guidance, feedback, and support to foster professional growth and development. -Business Development & Client Engagement: Actively contribute to business development efforts, cultivating relationships with new and existing clients, and assisting in strategic planning for market growth.

What You Bring

-Professional Engineering (PE) License in the state of Florida -Must be able to travel to various project sites -Prolonged periods sitting or standing at a desk and working on a computer -Proven business development experience -Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering Degree -Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds -Requires technical experience and/or familiarity with hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, water resources planning, and design for private and public stormwater infrastructure -Proven track record of successfully leading projects from inception to completion -Proficient in project management, administration, and supervision of technical staff -Must be able to access and navigate job sites and construction areas -Robust written and verbal communication skills -Technical experience with ICPR4 (Stormwise) and GIS -Singhofen Halff has conducted formal technical training programs for more than 30 years. -Must have a minimum 10 years of experience in Water Resources project delivery
