Tasks

-Prepare drawings detailing design work. -Perform field inspections and oversight. -CAD design and drafting of site layouts, roadway, utilities, storm water management systems, and grading using AutoCAD Civil 3D. -Contributing to diverse design projects encompassing residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional land development, civil site design, and erosion control measures. -Assist with projects related to environmental protection, wastewater and stormwater management. -Prepare NPDES and other regulated permit applications. -Collaborating closely with the project manager, design lead, and CAD designers to uphold company standards and best practices. -Evaluating various engineering alternatives and resolving technical challenges. -Establish and monitor schedules and budgets as they are related to the assigned projects. -Engaging in client interaction and providing support as necessary.

What You Bring

The Civil Engineer II applicant should possess a strong foundation in civil engineering principles and practices, including NPDES permits and other permitting programs, wastewater treatment, stormwater management, and familiarity with industry standards and regulations. A strong background in hydrologic modeling and analytical skills including HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS and similar applications. The candidate will perform as a member of a multidisciplinary team of engineers and scientists. -6 + years’ experience in the environmental engineering field with a strong background development of civil infrastructure projects, landfill design and construction, stormwater design, and wastewater management. -Bachelor's Degree in Environmental or Civil Engineering (MS Degree is a plus) -Proficient technical writing skills and understanding of industry-standard IT applications -Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing individual responsibilities effectively. -Ability to travel as necessary to complete duties. -Experience with hydrology and hydraulics design and analysis software, (e.g. HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS). -Pennsylvania and/or New Jersey Professional Engineering License Preffered. -Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. -Experience with Pennsylvania and/or New Jersey permitting stormwater, wastewater, soil erosion and sediment control, and general site planning. -Knowledge of construction principles and practices. -Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.) -Knowledgeable in the current PADEP & NJDEP Stormwater Management (SWM) Rules, Pennsylvania & New Jersey Stormwater BMP Manual/Green Infrastructure, PennDOT and PADEP waterway obstruction (PA Code Chapter 105) NJDEP Division of Land Resource Protection permits. -Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve complex engineering problems. -Driver’s License -Proficiency in CAD software for drafting and design purposes.
