Forklift Operator

Operate forklift to load/unload materials, assemble orders, and maintain yard.

Tasks

Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Forklift Operator is responsible for efficiently and accurately assembling products for orders, loading orders onto trucks, loading and unloading production equipment and trucks as necessary. Accommodations are available on request for candidates taking part in all aspects of the selection process. -Set up lumber for wrapping. -Assists in general labour tasks as required. -Bending, lifting, and reaching during the course of the shift. -Loads and unloads building material supplies safely and promptly on and off delivery trucks. -Adheres to all work safety rules and regulations. -Accurately, efficiently, and safely picks and assembles customer orders for staging. -Maintains a clean and organized yard.

What You Bring

Work Location: 33730 Enterprise Avenue, Abbotsford, BC V2S 7T9. Must have own reliable transportation. Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada without sponsorship. -Must be able to speak, read, and write English. -First Aid Certificate is an asset. -Able to lift up to 50 pounds or 23 kilograms. -Experience working in a lumber mill or lumber yard is desirable. -Certification is required on a counterbalance forklift (8,000 to 18,000 lb capacity). -Minimum one (1) year experience is required. -Adheres to customer service commitments. -Must be familiar with pulling and staging orders. -Must have own steel-toed boots.
