Assist team leader with bridge inspection planning, field work, and report preparation.

Tasks

-Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures. -Receive directions from Project Manager and other senior staff -Review previous inspection reports and assist in planning of field operations -Work collaboratively with other engineers, professionals, and infrastructure authorities on Federal, State, regional, local and privately funded improvement and development projects. -Perform inspection work and compile reports under the direction of the Team Leader.

What You Bring

-40-Hour OSHA Health & Safety Training (HAZWOPER) (29 CFR 1910.120) preferred -Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills -Essential Professional Licensure/Certification. -Bachelor’s Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering, or closely related discipline. -Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies. -Master’s Degree in Engineering. -Engineer in Training Certification. -3 to 5 years of relevant post education experience in design, construction, inspection, or other bridge engineering related work. -Effective self-leadership with attention to detail, results orientation, and managing multiple priorities in a dynamic work environment. -Ability to work schedules conducive to project-specific requirements that may extend beyond the typical workweek. -Valid, unrestricted driver license. Must successfully complete and pass WSP’s Motor Vehicle screening. -Physically capable of performing continuous field work including working at heights and in close quarters, climbing, carrying ladders and gear, working in adverse weather conditions, etc.
