Tasks

-Provide the vision and direction for the Environment Market Sector in accordance with our Australian Market Strategy -Ensure ongoing success in relation to key metrics and desired business goals, including financial performance and other market deliverables -Lead proactive Business Development and Client focused activities as you maintain strong relationships, monitor the market for new opportunities and maintain a growth focus to maximise our success. You will then develop key pursuit strategies, which will involve significant client engagement and leading bid teams to prepare proposals for winning new work -Coach and mentor staff to increase business development capability and client connectivity -Delivery of iconic projects as Project Director for significant environmental studies across Australia and the Pacific, providing technical leadership to contribute to and ensure the successful delivery of projects -Lead market activities, collaborating with senior management across the Australia/Pacific Region

What You Bring

-Relevant tertiary qualification(s) in environmental planning, engineering, remediation, environmental sciences (or related disciplines) -Problem solving skills and sound decision-making ability -Minimum of 15 years’ tried experience in business development tasks for a service company, ideally with technical consulting industry knowledge, strong business acumen and drive for results -A strategic, client-centric approach to working, demonstrating a strong network of contacts and clients, ideally within the WA infrastructure, with proven success in winning business and growing related project portfolios market and / or broader Australian sectors -Recognised experience in the WA Environment sector, ideally in areas such as ecology, environmental assessment, planning, mine closure, natural resources management, sustainability, contaminated lands or waste services -Well-developed communication skills, with the ability to influence with or without formal authority
