The Role

Overview

Support project planning, scheduling, monitoring and reporting for construction projects.

Tasks

-Maintain project records, logs and planning documentation -Identify critical path activities, constraints and dependencies -Support project teams in coordinating works across disciplines -Monitor project progress and update schedules to reflect actual performance -Liaise with project teams, subcontractors and clients to ensure alignment on schedules -Assist in forecasting resource requirements and material delivery schedules -Analyse delays, variances and trends to support decision-making -Support adoption of digital planning and scheduling systems -Support development of project programmes including milestone and resource planning -Contribute to lessons learned and best practice sharing across projects -Assist in preparing and maintaining project schedules using planning software -Contribute to project risk identification, mitigation and reporting -Identify opportunities to improve planning processes and tools -Produce progress reports, dashboards and visualisations for internal and client use -Support project meetings, reviews and planning workshops

What You Bring

-Excellent proficiency in MS Excel -Knowledge of BIM, digital planning tools or project management systems -Work experience or internship in construction, planning or scheduling -Good communication and teamwork skills -Willingness to learn planning methodologies and project control principles -Exposure to complex multi-disciplinary projects -Professional membership of a relevant body such as AACE, RICS or PMI -Analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills -Communicate effectively across multidisciplinary teams -Understanding of construction processes, resource management and risk mitigation -Training or interest in advanced planning techniques, earned value management or digital project management tools -Degree or equivalent in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related discipline
