Tasks

-Coordinate with team members to meet bid deadlines -Coordinate with Purchasing Team members to compile material costs -Account management to include current customer and developing new customers and accounts -Construct material takeoff for plumbing, piping and HVAC systems -Create, sell and manage planned maintenance contracts -Review engineered mechanical plans and specifications – HVAC, plumbing, piping, gas, and sheet metal -Communicate the estimation data for review and approval if necessary -Prepare a complete mechanical bid that includes material, labor and other applicable costs -Provide technical support to technicians -Work directly with outside vendors and subcontractors to compile equipment and subcontract costs -Communicate and coordinate with technicians to create proposals as necessary

What You Bring

-Mechanical system knowledge should include heating, cooling, air distribution building automation, plumbing and other mechanical systems -High School Diploma or equivalent -Ability to present the project to the customer and manage the project as appropriate -Valid Driver’s License -Knowledge and understanding of CAD and BIM -Ability to perform site surveys and equipment evaluations to create proposals for owner direct replacement, redesign and/or retrofit projects -Ability to go to job sites and evaluate work progress and needs. Especially critical for determining ability to meet deadlines and/or work demands -Proficient knowledge of Excel, Outlook and Microsoft Office software -Excellent mathematical skills -Ability to learn and navigate ERP project management system -Minimum 5 years mechanical estimating experience preferred -Excellent verbal and written communication skills -Strong understanding of HVAC systems and operations in order to effectively create proposals with new equipment and systems in order to meet customer needs -Excellent organizational and time management skills
