Overview
Design and estimate electrical power projects for utility upgrades in Idaho.

Tasks
-Prepare designs for the installation, replacement, and upgrade of power distribution equipment. -Analyze engineering problems using both customer-provided and stand-alone tools, delivering timely and effective solutions across multiple projects. -Create electrical construction plans for various projects such as new customer services, subdivision developments, overhead reconductoring, pole replacements, solar/net metering upgrades, and underground facility replacements. -Review and verify drawings to ensure technical accuracy and compliance with client, company, and industry standards. -Interface with customers and visit job sites to gather necessary data. -Travel to client sites, project locations, and other offices as required. -Utilize CAD software including AutoCAD, GIS-based drafting tools, and others. -Develop electrical power designs by NESC and GO 95 codes, as well as internal client standards. -Collaborate effectively with internal teams, utility customers, and external clients.

What You Bring
-AutoCAD proficiency, with specific requirements based on experience level. -Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Access). -Ability to use engineering software such as Spida Calc, Ocalc, Cyme, and programs for cable pulling calculations, guying, and power quality analysis. -Minimum of 2 years’ experience in electric distribution and/or transmission design. -Unless otherwise noted, we do not sponsor employees for work authorization in the U.S. for this position. -Minimum of 2 years’ experience in planning, estimating, or engineering for electric utilities. -All job offers are subject to pre-employment drug screening and a background check.
