Tasks

-Conducting condition assessments of water and wastewater facilities -Supporting construction inspectors and contract administrators in the field and office to become familiar with construction techniques and challenges -Working under the guidance of project managers and management staff across the company to develop design skills and ensure design quality standards are met -Providing engineering support to multi discipline project teams as needed -Collaborating with and contributing to multi-office project teams to ensure project delivery successfully meets the needs of clients -Supporting senior engineers and project managers in the production of preliminary and detailed design drawings and preparation of related reports, coordination of approvals, development of construction cost estimates, and liaising with clients, sub-consultants and contractors -Preparing proposals, project reports, design documents, permit applications, environmental assessment and environmental screening reports -Assessment, planning, study, design, approval and construction administration of water supply, treatment, pumping, storage and distribution projects and wastewater collection, pumping treatment and disposal -Assisting in the development of engineering students, engineers-in-training (EITs) and junior project engineers/technologists; -Participating in planning and feasibility studies

What You Bring

-Knowledge of municipal and provincial approval processes as well as relevant agency and industry standards, guideline and best practices -Excellent organization skills with the ability to multi-task and work on a number of projects concurrently -7-12 years of related experience -WaterCad, InfoWater and SewerCAD modelling -Licensed as a Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario -Experience with AutoCAD, BIM, Revit, Civil 3D and MicroStation -Strong analytical skills -An engineering degree in a related discipline
