What You Bring

-Experience of technical engagement with UK environmental regulators -Client-facing, opportunistic and comfortable with developing new work. -Effective multi-stakeholder management skills, including internally and externally. -Ability to clearly present complex technical information visually and orally. -An environmentally related degree (ideally with a post-graduate qualification also). -Collaborative people manager who has ability to develop and support others. -Ability to manage technically complex large water environmental projects. -Understanding of the links between water quality and aquatic ecology. -Excellent organisational, communication and presentation skills. -Ability to effectively manage resources and prioritise own and others’ workload. -People management experience, involving supporting the development of staff through mentoring. -Strong project and programme management/direction skills to ensure a high level of service. -Ability to prioritise and manage significant operational demands and pressures. -Experience of environmental discharge permitting. -Understanding of remediation techniques for contaminated ground and surface water. -Understanding of the sources, fates, effects, and assessment of pollutants. -A clean full UK driving licence. -Competence and experience in applying detailed knowledge of water quality chemistry. -Excellent understanding of the UK water industry and its regulation. -Experience in managing proposals and winning work of a sizeable value.
