Tasks

This role will involve working alternate Saturday mornings. A large part of the role and apprenticeship will be focused on planning, developing and creating audio visual and written content that can be used across a variety of platforms and media, specifically social media. Content Creation At MKM Central Support, everything we do is to support our branch network. This role will also involve providing direct support to our branches to help them build and maintain a strong local presence on social media. Support the Social Media Lead with managing content on the MKM central social media channels including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, X, YouTube and Pinterest -Respond to DMs, comments, and queries from both followers and branches -Using video edit tools such as CapCut and Instagram Edits to create short video content for social media -Supporting branches with content ideas, localised campaigns, and posting best practices -Review performance of content to optimise future content including engagement rate, reach, video views and watch time -Scheduling content across the channels, adapting for each channel -Monitor brand mentions, tags, and relevant hashtags -Help grow our online community by actively engaging with accounts and identifying trends -Ensuring customers and influencers are talking about (and using!) our products -Filming content on a phone (phone will be provided) -Help co-ordinate influencer and customer activity to amplify social media reach -Schedule and publish content using relevant software such as Hootsuite, Meta Business Suite and content management systems. -Provide day-to-day admin support, including account access issues (e.g. locked accounts, password resets) and support with onboarding new team members to social media platforms -Research competitors' strategies -Work closely with the wider team to ensure a social-first approach to campaigns and activity -Creating or sourcing content specific to the branch -Acting as the first point of contact for social media-related branch queries -Work alongside the Social Media Lead and Videographer to support content creation during branch visits across our network -Collaborate with our third-party agency to brief in paid campaigns based on audience type, location, and demographic insights -Briefing graphics into the design team -Support campaign planning by suggesting content ideas for social media and other channels -Speaking to branches over Teams or in person to provide updates and advice on social media -Stay up to date on social media trends, challenges, and platform changes

Some travel to branches will be required with this role. Alongside the role you will be studying for a level 3 Content Creator apprenticeship. -Write engaging on-brand captions -Understanding the difference between organic and ad content and tailoring the content to suit the relevant purpose -A creative thinker with a fresh perspective – you enjoy exploring new ideas and approaching challenges from different angles. -Understanding the brief and target audience to come up with engaging content ideas for a range of channels, specifically social media -English and Maths qualifications must be completed in line with the apprenticeship rules -A proactive attitude and a willingness to travel and adapt to the needs of the role. -A keen interest in photography and videography and a desire to learn skills around this (training would be provided). -A keen interest in marketing, social media, content creation and a desire to build your skills in a dynamic, supportive environment. -Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across different teams and branches.
