As an Intern, you will support experimental and data analysis activities related to energy management and thermal comfort optimization in collaboration with experienced team members.

  • Translate radar insights into smart automations for air conditioning operation, adapting to user behavior.
  • Data analysis from radar sensor for detection of human presence and behavior.
  • Data post-processing and visualization, monitor detection performance.
  • Conducting mmWave radar tests in Robert Bosch SEA Corporate Research HVAC testbed/lab.
  • Ensure smooth operation of RAC tests, data collection, analysis, and validation of concepts.

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic MSc/PhD student to join Bosch for a fulfilling internship opportunity! This internship will provide valuable hands-on experience in a corporate research environment, allowing you to contribute to the development of intelligent controls for Residential Air Conditioners (RACs) while learning from experienced professionals.

  • Able to work full time for a period of at least 3 months (Starting Jan 2026).
  • Experienced in sensor data collection, communication protocols, IoT devices.
  • Basic understanding of thermodynamics, air conditioning fundamentals. Knowledge of Python, SQL for data analysis, Docker, Home Assistant platform would be beneficial.
  • Educational background in Mechanical/Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent.
